If You Smell A Gas Leak
No Flames or sparks
Immediately put out all open flames. Do not operate lights, appliances, telephones, or cellphones.
Evacuate
Leave the building immediately! Do not return to the building
Shut Off the Gas
Turn off the main gas supply valve on your propane storage tank if it is safe to do so.
Report the Leak
From a safe location, report the leak to STERN by calling 605-925-7999

STERN takes steps to ensure your propane tank is set up for success. We complete a 10-point inspection when installing and refilling every propane tank. For those on our E-Z Pay and Stay Full programs, the 10-point inspection takes place annually.
